Wow... 8 months later, I've managed to significantly re-do both of my rigs and end up with a lot less gear in the process!

Re: Tell us about you guitar setup/rig Everyone!!!

This thread scares me, since 1 1/2 years later I can update my gear list and not have ANY of the gear I started with! And I thought I'd been doing a better job of turning things over less frequently... apparently not!

Guitars: (4) PRS Custom 24's, PRS Standard 24, PRS Singlecut, PRS McCarty Rosewood, PRS McCarty Soapbar, PRS Hollowbody II piezo, PRS EG-1, EB MM JPM 6-string, EB MM JPM 7-string, Casio MG-510 MIDI guitar

Gigging/recording rig: ART power conditioner, Nady UHF10 wireless, Axess GRX4 router/switcher, Ibanez Weeping Demon wah, Carl Martin compressor, Voodoo Lab Sparkle Drive, Randall RM4 preamp (Blackface, Brown, Recto, and Ultra Lead modules--all of which are modded), TC Electronic G-Major, Randall RT2/50 power amp, (2) Avatar 2x12 cabs (one open-back with 12GT75's, one closed-back with V30's), Rocktron Midi Mate controller

Rehearsal rig: Snarling Dogs wah, Ibanez TS9DX Tube Screamer, Randall RM100C combo (Plexi, modded SL+, and XTC modules), DOD R848 spring reverb

Other amps: Mesa Mark IV widebody combo w/ Thiele 1x12 extension cab, Mesa Rectoverb combo, extra Randall MTS modules (Modern, Ultra, Top Boost)

Okay, in retrospect, I can't say I don't have ANY of the gear I had a year and a half ago. I still have the same Casio MIDI guitar, Mark IV, Nady wireless unit, 535Q wah, and TS9-DX. But that's about it...

If nothing else, this has prompted me to update the website for my home studio: http://studio.naughtybutterspoon.com It still needs some work, since I'm pretty behind on taking pictures of the PRS guitars. Oh well... one more project for the to-do list!

And now it's a year later, and yet again, I've managed to just about completely turn over my amp gear! (at least I'm consistent) I've just sold/traded in my Randall MTS rigs to build the "little Lifeson" rig (if you've seen Rush on tour recently, this is like Alex's rig, with half as many amps/speakers!).

Main rig: H&K Triamp mkII, H&K zenTera, 4 Avatar cabs, various FX

Practice rig: Mesa/Boogie Mark III combo, Ibanez WD-7 wah

Rigs depend on situation, but here goes:

Home recording:
Pod XT straight into PC

Live/Rehearsals:
Korg DTR1 tuner (rack)
Mesa Triaxis (rack)
Rocktron Hush Super-C (rack)
Rivera TBR-1 (rack, only use the power stage)

then either into a Mesa 4x12 or into 1 or 2 marshall 4x12's (one original 70's greenbacks, one 75's)

When i can't use my rig live due to transport then it's simply a Dual recto through a mesa cab.

Guitar wise it's basically Ibanez 7strings (UV/2027) and PRS's along with an RG. Have other axes, but these are the ones most in use.

Effect wise I was using a GT-5, but that's gone now, so the only thintg i use occasionally is a Vox wah pedal, for the rest it's all guitar->amp with no effects.

Re: Tell us about you guitar setup/rig Everyone!!!

I have downsized my rig from whole racksystem up to guitar (Ibanez jem, Gibson Les paul and Fender Strat) straight into mesa F50. Just tone no more no less. It sounds more direct and punchier than the processed signal. I only need a boss DD.

I've kind of gone back to "basics" and have completely re-done my setup over the last couple of months. I've still got (3) rigs, depending on the band or venue I'm playing, and the guitar selection has completely changed. I'm sure it'll happen again in another 6 months! LOL

-Chrome Dunlop 535Q wah
-(2) Ernie Ball Volume pedals
-Keeley Boss DS-1 w/ Ultra Mod
