Re: Tell us about you guitar setup/rig Everyone!!!

Aha ok my modest setup

Fender Black S/S/H HM strat w/ EMG 89, and SAs

Ibanez J-Custom RG8670TB

iintooo

ADA MP1 slaved into Laney GH50L

FX: Digitech Studio 400 - I really like this FX processor. 4 inputs and 4 outputs! Surround sound chorus w/ delay anyone?

Simple, but I like it.

JEM7BSB next on the hitlist I think. Or a JS1000

Re: Tell us about you guitar setup/rig Everyone!!!

I'll either use my POD PRO rack mount w/foot controller or my Digitech 2120 w/control one for FX.
Power comes from my Marshall EL34 100/100 into a Marshal 1960 slant top and a 1960 straight.

Any of my guitars sound good thru this, but prefer my 7vwh & 7brmr

Its a pretty simple rig, but it weighs friggin' a ton

Update: Here are 2 pics I took tonite after a jam 5.16.06

Re: Tell us about you guitar setup/rig Everyone!!!

GUITARS:
Ibanez RGs (565s mostly), Peavey Wolfgangs
<all are equipped with EMGs and D'Addario 10's>

LIVE RIG (smaller venues or short sets)

<Monster Power Conditioner>
Audio Technica Digital Wireless ->
Langner DCP-1 (or Randall RM-4 depending on my mood) ->
TC Electronic G-Major ->
VHT 2/90/2 ->
(2) Genz-Benz G-Flex Cabinets

LIVE RIG (bigger shows)

<Monster Power Conditioner>
Audio Technica Digital Wireless ->
Axess Electronics BS2 Buffered Splitter =>
=MAIN SIGNAL FROM BS2> Langner DCP-1 ->
=MAIN SIGNAL FROM BS2> TC Electronic G-Major ->
=MAIN SIGNAL FROM BS2> VHT 2/90/2 (right side)->
(2) Genz-Benz G-Flex Cabinets

=ISO'D SIGNAL FROM BS2> Randall RM-4 ->
=ISO'D SIGNAL FROM BS2> TC Electronic G-Force ->
=ISO'D SIGNAL FROM BS2> VHT 2/90/2 (left side) ->
(2) Genz-Benz G-Flex Cabinets
<yes, this setup uses 4 Genz-Benz Cabinets>

If I want extra power, I'll run the VHT 2/90/2 into just 2 of the Genz Benz cabs and then run the second iso'd signal thru a Marshall EL84 20/20 to power the other two Genz-Benz cabs.

From time to time, I'll swap out the Randall RM-4 or Langner for a Pod XT Pro so I can mix a nice tube tone with a little more tight solid state tone, which makes it sound HUGE overall.

For quick home recording, I use a Line6 Vetta Head.

I have several other pieces I don't use that much, but I won't bother listing them here... The setup above covers all bases anyways.

For more info you could check out http://jimosity.tzo.com

Re: Tell us about you guitar setup/rig Everyone!!!

Guitars:
JEM 7VWH
RG570EX
RG1527 RB
EBMM JP6

Effects:
Morley Bad Horsie Wah
Boss TU2 Tuner

Amp rack setup:

Mesa Boogie TriAxis -> Rocktron Xpression Effects Unit (in the effects loop) -> Mesa Boogie 2:90 Power Amp -> Mesa Boogie Horizontal 2x12 Recto Cabinet.

All controlled with a Rocktron MidiMate

Still playing around with the sounds (thinking of adding some higher gain tubes into the TriAxis), but i can pretty much nail some good Vai, DT and Metallica style tones. Bluesier stuff takes more time to dial in.

Hoping to build a nice pedal rack over the summer too. Ive found some treadplate metal i could use .

Re: Tell us about you guitar setup/rig Everyone!!!

I've changed my set up AGAIN.

ADA MP-1 with JJ 12ax7 tubes ( i think these are lower gain graded)
Peavey Classic 50/50 power amp with EL34's
Boss SD-1
Boss NS-2
Peavey 5150 cab

Should be adding a ADA MP-1 with the 3TM mod hopefully.

UPDATE: The Parker is gone, I have replaced it with a Ibanez Prestige SA2020FM. Super sweet guitar.

Ibanez SA2020FM >> Vox Tonelab SE.
