THD Hotplate price

Anybody know roughly the price of a brand new 8 ohm hotplate?

Where did you get your for $240? I found one that they told me was $270. Maybe if I can get a quote from another store, then they will bring down their price. Any companies?

I just called around until I found a 16 ohm and that was the price.

It depends on the store, but around my neck of the woods there is only one dealer and they don't deal at all...on anything.

Street price is most typically $279. If you call THD directly, ask if they have any reconditioned ones. I think they will sell you one for around $240. They are a very small operation so things are a little fast and loose and you may get someone willing to cut a deal. Who knows.
