The boutique Pedal Thread?

Anyone into these? I have a friend who is way into them and Im heading in that direction. My number just came up for a Hermida Audio Zendrive. I can't wait for it to get here. The crazy thing is I got mine new for $179 and a really short wait (although apparently the wait can be a few months), but they sell on the bay for $250.

I love boutique pedals. Some of them are overhyped, but more often than not, they sound great. Check out the Lovepedal stuff.

I looked at the Lovepedal Eternity and almost went with it. I think they have a sweet fuzz pedal I may look into.

If they turn out as well as you hope will you be producing/selling them?

I agree building is the way to go. It is pretty expensive, but way fun and the pedals usually come out sounding awesome. Another bonus is that they are unique, if you put a lot of work into the enclosure its one of a kind and badass!!

Re: The boutique Pedal Thread?

I'd like to design and build a pedal that's essentially a "switch-through wah".
Just like some people (myself included) have multiple-wah setups, and use one of them (in my case, an original CryBaby) as a "filter", I'd like to design a unit that captures three or four key wah pot settings, linking them to a click of the switch...if that makes sense.

But as for boutique pedals, what constitutes a "boutique"? Is the only core requirement that they are not mass-produced, and are instead built more or less "to order"? Or is it something else altogether?

Re: The boutique Pedal Thread?

I'm really into the "amp in a box" type of pedals. Right now, my eyes are on the Lovepedal Purple Plexi. I'm loving my Box of Rock right now.

Even though they are expensive, some of them really produce some nice tonal amp qualities with beautiful harmonics that really pair well with an amp that's on the verge of break up.

But holy **** @ the prices for the Menatones and Dirty Boy Pedals. But those babies sound really sweet. And look cool!

It's funny how many of these manufacturers use Teles and Fender amps for their sound clips.

Im waiting for Foxrox to put out their Aquavibe, it's between that and the Fulltone Mini Deja, but from what I hear the Foxrox will be cheaper and atleast as good as the Fulltone

I'm supposed to be shooting some video demos of these pedals (not for the manufacturer, just for a store's website) some time soon and I'll be using a Jem and a Marshall.
