Thinking to sell zoom g7.1ut for POD

I've had a zoom g7.1ut for over a year now and all i can say is i'm not impressed.

My guitar is an older ibanez s470, using a solid state laney amp.

While the zoom is fine for clean sounds, i've found it's rather ****house for everything else, distortion has the blanket over amp sound, and sounds horrible, no matter how much i mess with the settings.

I'm thinking that hopefully i can sell the thing for around $350AUD, and buy a POD 2.0 or a POD XT.

Can anyone give me advice on the POD series?, what it's good for, and not so good for?

POD = Piece Of Doodoo. Buy a Boss GT-8. It'll probably cost you a little more but, you'll be happy with it.

I've been using the Zoom G7.1ut for almost a year now and been getting some great sounds.

I just happened to record some guitars for a hip hop song a mate of mine is doing for his album. Hooked it up in to his Roland Pro-tools ready multi-track recorder and it blew him away. He was so stoked that he had very little work to do to master it after the recording. When we've finished the track (still got lead guitar and bass lines to record) I'll try and post it up with his permission.
