But somethings popped into my head.

At the moment im playing through a Marshall AVT150 head and the 1979 4 x 12 cab.

If i was to replace the head with, lets say a JSX or a Dual Recto, could i still use the same cab or would that need replacing too?

It sounds stupid, but i've never really thought about it

as long as the impediance matches then i'm sure it will be fine.

need to replace? no. but cab do sound different. I'd play the neq head through your cab and if you like. keep it. but don't be afraid to play you head through other cabs..
