Tom Araya/ Slayer,,,,Jewish metal?

Just checking out the ESP site and well,, see for yourself http://www.espguitars.com/html/cs_gallery.html
Click on Tom Araya model for a pop up. The inlays are the "Star of David". Has Tom turned over a new leaf or is this bass a victim of lack of attention with computer animation?

I'm sure the "Slatanic" forces will be buzzin over this conversion....lol

im not sure to be honest with you.

from what ive heard, only kerry is explicitly satanic in belief and he writes all the lyrics so i wouldnt put it past a member to have other religious beliefs.

i wouldnt think that an ESP custom shop instrument would have a mistake like that. you dont pay $4000 for a bass and get some detail as important as inlays messed up.

Yeah, that's true,, however else where in the sight the same bass has Pentegrams on it. I just find it hard to beleive that Tom would be Jewish. I've seen crazier from larger companies. Either way,,, it makes for some interesting discussion while sitting around the spa.....

I have read and heard many interviews with slayer none of them are satanic or nazis it is just the themes that they choose to draw the insperation for there music. Kerry king is actually more or less an athist

A couple of years ago when Tom Araya was interviewed in a Swedish Metalmagazine (I think it was Cloose Up magazine), Tom expressed some concerns about him "risking eternal consequenses" by singing lyrics that was against his faith and his personal beliefs. I'm NOT bullsh**ting.

Re:

yeah i thought Tom Araya had a lot to do with songs like Angel of Death and others with a Nazi tilt. If you read the lyrics, none of them are really pro-anything. They just seem to be about the subjects. Tom Araya himself is very interested (am i mixing him up with Kerry King?) in Nazi memorabilia and has quite a collection. anyway that's a drastic statement to put on a guitar but Slayer is a drastic band.
