'Transparent' Volume pedal

Hey everyone, I'm after a volume pedal that doesn't affect my tone either infront of my amp or in the effects loop. Can anyone recommend me one please?
Thanks
Regard
Jon

Re: 'Transparent' Volume pedal

Ok, I've looked at previous threads and decided its the ernie ball vs the steve vai morley vs the bosss FV500's.
-EB is 250k (same as my guitar pots I think?) but string breaks in it
-Morley sounds good but has some bad reviews on HC
-Boss is Boss, all of their compact pedals have buffer circuits (which I hate tbh), will the volume pedal(s) be the same? What's the impedance of the FV500H and the FV500L?

All are passive, so presume the 'transparency' depends on the way their used and arranged?

Re: 'Transparent' Volume pedal

Anyone any views? Will all three of these pedals be as tonally transparent as each other? Anyone?

Oh, and it's now between just the Boss FV-500's and the Dunlop High Gain Volume Pedal
Which one will be more tonally transparent?

Re: 'Transparent' Volume pedal

I mean in terms of tone, will there be any more/less tonal colouration with use of different volume pedals?
Thanks for your reply

the fact you didn't understand my joke and thought I was being serious.
LOL
The other funny stuff is with so many things to do in life you're concerned about a transparent volume pedal.
What about studying and playing guitar?
Sorry man but I can't stop laughing !

Not colour wise, as in tone. I have to admit you do have a point on the 'other things to do,' I am a busy person I would say. But I will say that I just want the very best for my audience and band, I'm a perfectionist and proud. Oh, and I perfectly understood your sarcastic joke:-
"ha ha"
As to your studying guitar comment, that's not exactly something I would laugh about.
Thanks for your comments anyway,
Regards

hes only having a joke,
answering your question, i doubt a volume pedal would have that much of an effect on tone to be honest

agree 100% that's why I was laughing.
How come somebody could waste his time thinking about that.
If you buy a good volume pedal,I mean if you buy one of a good label,it'll never affects your tone, even if it does, your ears would never hear it.
I'm very perfectionist with my stuff too but this is waste of time.
I never heard somebody saying=Hey my tone was crap but when I stopped using a volume pedal it was like paradise!
Well unless you buy a behringer pedal, then you'd have NO TONE LOL

Re: 'Transparent' Volume pedal

Totally disagree...I have an EB, and it kills my tone like it's its job. I know you can put a capacitor of some sorts in it to help the tone, or maybe a buffer after it, but I'm not sure. I prefer just using my volume knob anyways. I've seen some research online. Just google it, I'm sure you're bound to find something.
