In 3 weeks I will be embarking on a European tour with my new band and I have just wondered how any of you international giggers have gone about luggage restrictions with your amps and all that. How did you manage to fit within the weight restrictions and how do you ensure that they treat your amp (or rackmount unit) with care?

I'm gonna aquire a PodXT Pro (which might not be ideal but will have to do) and stick it with my mate's synth unit in a rack case. Will a simple FRAGILE sign on the rack case suffice?

Never done this before but the first thing I can think off is SHOCKMOUNT RACK.

It's pricey, it's heavey, but I think it would be a smart move.

Weight is a consideration, 23kg is our limit.

Ok for normal heads, what sort of precautions do most of you take? A head flight case both costs and weighs a ton. Just wondering how you guys go about it with weight limits and all.
