Tremol-no tuning easier?

Hey all!!

I've always had a problem with getting string tension and bridge floating correct on my Floyd rose - Bridge always goes slightly higher when I change strings - and theres alot of mucking about to stretch strings until I get it straight with the body...

Is the tremol-no the answer to this? lol - If in hardtail mode - Is it easier to get the guitar in tune, then I can easily set it to floating mode and it'll be all even?

I never had any real problems with string-stretching affecting the bridge height. Which gauge and brand do you use? Ernie Balls hybrid slinkies work fine for me on my 540P-II with an old beat up edge.

Re: Tremol-no tuning easier?

It's better, but not as easy as a hardtail. Before you install it you have to setup your guitar perfectly. Notice that the tremol-no cannot act as a bridge block and if you change your strings to a heavier gauge, it will affect the bridge setup.
To be honest, if your guitar is properly setup, there won't be any tuning issues.
Tremol-no solves minor tuning issues, but if you go from hardtail mode to floating mode, the "system collapses" again.
I have it on my 1527 and I'm not thrilled with it. If I were you, I'd setup the guitar right and save the $150.
