triaxis issues

1. when running the triaxis, are both A and B outputs supposed to be outputting audio?

when I am running in mono (guitar ->outputA->input A on 2:90->cab) it sounds fine, if I am (guitar ->outputB-> input A on 2:90 ->cab) i can hear a very faint noise coming out of the cab.

If i have my FX loop EQ going out and then going into Return B, the output B on the triaxis sounds fine.

I guess my question is, if you are playing the triaxis, are both outputs on the back supposed to have the same output, or does the output B only have a signal output if there is a stereo effects unit in the loop?

2. sometiems if I am playing a patch that has a moderately high amount of gain, then switch to Rhy Yellow for a clean, there is some distortion on the clean channel for a moment and then goes to clean..

I am not sure why this happens.. help me out!

thanks guys,

barry

Have you checked the manual on this?

If you don't have the manual, visit Mesa's website and download the PDF version of it.

Re: triaxis issues

both outputs work fine when i am not running any FX.

I have my eq pedal in my fx loop, and when i have the loop active - the only output that works on the triaxis is the return that the fx is plugged into.

i am totally confused by this

Re: triaxis issues

I haven't had a Triaxis for a couple of years, but I believe that if you use a device in the FX loop, it has to have a stereo return if you want to feed a stereo power amp. Which always struck me as odd, since the Triaxis has a mono send, right?

So I guess the options are to split the mono send into L/R before going into your FX box (assuming your FX box is stereo) or split the output of your FX box into L/R before going back into the Triaxis FX returns.
