Re: Ultex Jazz III review
I'm almost willing to bet that you'll get yours down in Australia before I get the one I asked about via email ;-)
Mine came from a friend that got two.

IVsakeN-
You're in New Fairfield? I'm 2 towns over from you.
You should come see the band play this Saturday night in Danbury and meet the guys.

Re: Ultex Jazz III review
How did you guys ask for the pick? Did you just send them an e-mail (to
customerservice@jimdunlop.com
?) asking them if they could send you an
Ultex Jazz III
and attach your address?

I sent them an email (same one you listed) saying that I read a review online and asked where I can get one, since no local stores sell them. They sent an email back a few days later saying that they're not available, but if I give them my address, they'll send a sample. I gave it to them as soon as I got the email, and about 6-8 days later (didn't count), I got it. Whoever wrote my address on the letter had a pretty awesome writing style.. really scripted and smooth. I was actually jealous that someone can write on letters all day long and make them look like that =x

Awesome, I haven't seen these yet at my locals so I might email them. Hopefully they sent the samples out to Australia.

Re: Ultex Jazz III review
I just got mine from Dunlop. I have been using Jazz IIIs for over 20 years. The difference is subtle, but noticeable. I really like it. It seems to "stick" to my thumb better, and doesn't move as much.

Re: Ultex Jazz III review
Mine finally arrived today.
Have to agree with taracatac about it sticking to the thumb better. I'm very impressed with it so far, it feels lighter but it's attack is very good. I also feel you can play passages slightly faster than the red or black ones. For me, it's a very, very, comfortable pick. I'll definitely be getting a heap of these when they are released.

Re: Ultex Jazz III review
I called Dunlop today and asked when the Ultex Jazz III's would ship.
Got the same answer.....again.
Two weeks.
's what I heard 2 months ago.
(and I just *knew* Ibanez girl would get her sample pick before I do!

Re: Ultex Jazz III review
Aww sorry Powerslave.
They only sent me one so i cannot pass along one to someone else.
I wonder what the hold up is with releasing them?

Re: Ultex Jazz III review
Oh I have one that a fellow from another message board sent me, just not the one that Dunlop said they'd send *LOL*
I agree with your review, I like the grip.
The holdup is directly proportional to how badly I want them to be released ;-)
