Upgrading Mesa 1x12 cabs to Vintage 30s
I have a Mark IV head with both a Mesa 1/2 back 1x12 and a 3/4 back 1x12, both with Celestion Custom 90s. Would it be worth it at all to upgrade these cabs to Vintage 30's?? I have heard that the Vintage 30s have a much smoother sound than the Custom 90s. Is this true? How would this upgrade affect my sound?
Thanks guys

what music do you like to play metallica used mesa boogies so maby that but if you like jazz you should upgrade (at least it sounds that way cuz clean tones always gives the song alittle jazzy feel to it)

V30s are good sounding speakers. I imagine if you get a cab with them you will like them.
I replaced G12M75s with Classic Leads (which are similiar to V30s) and the sound difference is amazing.

^^ They also rule for like rock and blues or whatever too!!!!
If I played black/death metal, I would have liked the G12M75s though. More bass, scooped midrange and make everything sound heavier and harsher.
