Used TriAmp - fair pricing?

Hi guys-

* * * *I found a TriAmp at East Coast Music Mall, a dealer near my house. *The amp retails new for 2K, but this one was used heavily on a tour, so knocking down the value to $1300 wasn't hard. *My question is whether or not I should ask for more of a break; that's about middle-of-the-road for a used TriAmp, but this one saw a heavy workload. *Also, they'll part with the 4X12 cabs for about $450; those are $700 or so new. *I'm not going to buy both. *One has visible blemishing, like it was kicked and rough up a little. *I'm a little unsure as to how I would go about knocking down the price; I don't feel like I have any other reason besides visual issues. *Any ideas, advice, etc?

They are expensive amps... I think they list for $2400 actually. *They are also rare... however, paying more than $1k for one is getting into shaky territory. *

Tell the guy $1500 for the head and cab.

I got head and cab for $1700; I'm not displeased. *It's a swell amp. *Why didn't you go with one, Jay? *You were looking for a three-channel amp, right? *Did you end up A/Bing two Legacy's?
