Using Peavey Royal 8 with pedals???

Hi Folks,

Have any of you used a Peavey Royal 8 (5-watt) with any pedals before? Anything ranging from a simple OD to a full on metal pedal (e.g. Boss MT-2, Digitech Death Metal, Line 6 Uber Metal, etc...)? I live in a SMALL apartment and am looking for a cheap tube-amp thrill. I already have several pedals, and I can easily change the speaker if I need to. I not looking to spend $500 on a Mini-Satriani (LOL), or a full-on Valve King.

Any thoughts? Wisdom? Laughter?

Well, I A/B/C'ed a Peavey Royal 8, a Peavey Mini-Satch, and a Peavey 50-watt Valve King today. I'm going to save up for a bit longer and buy the 50-watter...there is no point in polishing turds.
