Using speaker in a combo with a head

I just got a TSL-100 today, and I'm dying to fire it up. Problem is, I won't be getting a speaker cab for it till tomorrow afternoon. Being the horribly impatient person i am, though, I've been thinking of using the 8 Ohm, 90-watt speaker from my Mesa combo in the 8-ohm out from the TSL just to give it a try in the meantime- as long as i don't push the output too hard, will i blow anything up if i do this? Thanks

You should be fine. When I got my Rivera TBR-2SL, I didn't have a cab so I ran it through my single 12" Mesa Mark IV with a 90Watt Celestion. Worked fine, and the TBR is stereo at 160W/side.
