V-AMP2 Problem

Guys,

I noticed that many of the presets on my VAMP2 are dead. I've tried to return to original pre-sets but it seems not to work anyway.

Its not a major biggie because I really don't care for most of the presets anyway and I can always just usemake up my own as I play. I have not tried to set up a combination and see if that would stick to the preset I want it to.

Just wanted to know if any of you have had this experience, and if so, how you fixed it. I feel that some chips may have fried in it.

No need to comment on how cheap this thing is etc, as I know all that.

Thanks

sounds like a dead/faulty battery, its a very common problem with the v-amp

Battery!? Like a PC motherboard? Hmm, maybe I can open it up and see what's happening inside.

Strange that it only affects a many presets and not all of them. Say half of all the available ones.

yeah the battery looks pretty much like a computer battery, just be careful not to short anything.

i have that problem too, with some saving some not. i only use my v-amp in my bedroom, so i don't even turn it off now, no risk of losing presets then.

Same thing here, I don't turn it off anymore. One thing I noted : if I need to pack the v-amp, I start by unplugging from the wall, detach the cord from the module, then unplug the cables. When I replug, I start by the cables, plug the cord to the module and then, plug it in the wall.

Doing this, I don't loose my settings anymore. 'Don't know why...

Cheers.

The V-Amp manual says not to unplug the power cord from the unit while it's plugged into the wall. Poor design, IMO, but for the $$ you pay, I guess corners needed cutting.

Hey it is cheaper than a gameboy...

Thanks guys... appreciate it. Unfortunately, I have kids at home and they do enjoy this little blue box. Looks like a freaking toy...
