Valve Amp question

I am currently looking to buy a valve amp and I have been looking at the Laney range, the one in particular I am looking at is the VC50.

Looking at the specs of the amp, it says it uses two el34s as output valves, but when I look at most other amps stats they usually have output valves and preamp valves. Are they just not listing the valves, or does it not use them. Another thing I noticed about htis amp is it's described as using RMS or something along those lines.
Anyone give me a clue? As I clearly don't have one.

Edit : Ok checked out the manual for the amp, and well duh it has preamp valves, they just didnt list them on the main site specs.
Still could do with knowing what RMS means.
I'll leave this post here for people to laugh at :P

Don't what connection RMS was mentioned but it usually means Root Mean Square. If you measure the output voltage of the amp, you could measure the peak voltage or you could measure the average or RMS.

Search the net for RMS and "Root Mean Square" for the scientific explanation

Watts RMS is the only true measurement of output power of an amp. Some manufacturers specify so-called "peak" power. Have you seen those Chinese boom-boxes that say 300W on their tiny speakers? That's peak power and it doesn't really mean anything.

It is very unlikely that it doesn't have tubes in the preamp. Laney's site says it's basically a VH100 in combo format and VH100 is a tube amp AFAIK.

A lot of times, the Mfr. will list comsumption power too as a misleading tactic.
Most times those output values are in I.L.S. readings... (IF LIGHTINING STRUCK)
