VHT Pitbull CL 50

Would the VHT Pitbull CL 50 be considered a high-gain amp? I've got a line on one that's loaded with EL34s.
In the same vein as a Soldano HotRod or a Rivera Knucklehead?

I know the Ultra-Lead kicks major butt....but wanted to know the level of kick butt the Pitbull delivers.

The Cl is a major high gain amp. They are really nice and I have heard many people say they like them more than the ultra lead. I know I was really impressed with the CLs. Very high gain, very tight sound. They sound kind of like the best sounding dual rec you have ever heard.
