views on Blackstar Ht-5

Hey everyone!
looking to buy a tube amp purely for recording thats not too loud and i came across the blackstar ht-5 which looks perfect really for what i want to do.

so what do people think about this amp? is there any other amp thats in the same price range but better sounding?

I play mostly instrumental rock such as vai satriani etc, and i play a jem of course

Do a quick search and there are at least 2 or 3 threads on this amp that I know of. LonePhantom also has a blog with a review. The link is in one of the threads.

Also, check out the comparison shopping page, there's two reviews of the head up on that. I believe the combo is the same specs, just with a 10" speaker attached.

quite frankly i was knocked out by how good they are, they dont just stack up against the competition, they annhiliate them..
I played a tiny terror at around the same time as well as a few other more modelling types of amp for a student, the HT-5 was a million times better.. you cant believe the sounds and tone that this tiny thing produces.. well, I say tiny, its a stack
