Vodoo Labs Sparkle Pedal - Any endorsements?

I have read really good things about this pedal, but was wondering if any 'Jemsters' have used it?

* * * * *I test drove this pedal. *I really like how it sounded into a MESA Boogie 20/20 power amp. *It is very versatile and the name perfectly describes the way it sounds. *Smooth with sparkle on top. *It is not quite my idea of an ideal lead tone, but it is worthy of trying out and might be a good addition to anyone's arsenal because it doesn't cost an arm and a leg as I recall. *It also works very well as a boost for your amp's lead channel like most guitar players use stomp boxes for. *Just go try it. *:biggrin:

I understand that it's nothing earth shaking. Did you know how it's predecessor was sounding? I loved it very much. Could you compare and contrast the overdrive sound of the sparkle one with its predecessor?

I don't think the Sparkle Drive had a predecessor. *It is "loosely" based on the TS-808 with the ability to mix in some of the clean signal. *I think you are referring to the VL Overdriver as the predecessor which is based on the Bosstone (I think) which is quite a different beast.
