Volume pedal

I have just started using a volume pedal in my loop. I was just wondering, do most people leave the volume pedal fully on and then just use it to lower the volume? Or do they set it at about 70% and then just use it for a little boost when needed?
Thx

Re: Volume pedal

imo, its childish to 'estimate' where you are on the pedal. most people use a volume as a volume knob. if you're going to use it for a boost, you should glue stoppers on the bottom to make the travel very short, and have all the way back your rhythm volume, and all the way up you're lead

...or use a Morley with a minimum-volume setting knob.

But I do mine a little backwards, I keep the toe down as my rhythm, and heel down to roll back the gain.

It leaves me sans "lead boost", but if MF ever ships me my damn satchurator that will be addressed by the "more" button.

Re: Volume pedal

Most people who place it in front of their amp use it more like a volume knob.

However, those who use it in the loop (like you and me), tend to use it more as an "attenuator" of sorts.
