Vox Pathfinder - Opinions?

Hey!

I just bought a pathfinder 10 on *bay because I needed a little practice amp. I'll be using it with my POD, or if it sounds decent enough sometimes without it. Any opinions?

the pathfinder is actually one of the only small practice amps I have ever played thet sounds vaguely "tubey" and warm. My personal fave for that kind of sound on a budget. My 2 cents.

Just a thought... If you're concerned enough to want our opinions on it, why not ask before buying...?

Kidding aside, how about posting a review here after you get it and put it through its paces?

Well, it was pretty cheap, and I read that it was pretty good for it's price-range in practice amps. That's why I didn't ask before buying :P

And I got to love the vox look

If I find the time, I'll post a review...Thanks...

P.S.: You still are allowed to give your opinions guys

I haven't heard the 10 myself but the 15's are great-not just for a solid state amp but for an amp that size!

Okay, it arrived today!

I must say, I'm very impressed. The clean setting of this little fella is really great for a non-tube amp. Has quite a warmth to it. Don't like the distortion too much, but it sounds good for slightly crunched tones. Works aces with the POD, although it has no FX return jack. You'd never guess it's just 10watts! This thing can be really loud!! Plus: I kinda dig the VOX look. Now I can pretend I have a very small AC-30TB when I play my POD through it . I recommend it for anyone who is looking for a small affordable practice amp!

In case you didn't know, a 30w Vox amp (AC30) is about 100w on Marshall's scale.
