Vox Valvetronix into tube power amp. hmm

We dig the heck out the the valvetronix when it's not mic'd. But something about the mystery of what you hear, and what comes out of the PA makes the VOX sound like you are mic'ing a radio. Since we like the versatility of the valvetronix and the easy to play tone, we are thinking of running the direct out into a tube power amp into the 4x12 cab. Until I get my hands on an amp, I'm considering running it into the return on the JSX and using that power amp section. Everything is packed up till after Christmas, so i can't try anything till then. Anyone try anything like this?

I used to run my POD2.0 into the return on the Legacy head, and that worked quite well really.

I run my GT-6 into the return of my Valveking with JJ tubs. No probs here and sounds great.

I've used my GSP2101 into the FX loop on my JCM900 100W for ten years.

Awesome sound, perfectly controllable. Note that this means I still get to switch channels (and reverb!) on the JCM if necessary, also the presence control is after the FX-loop.

Dunno about the exact routing on the JSX, but it may be similar and some of the controls may still work (IE presence, loose/spongy, reverb etc). If the JSX has a footswitch I suggest you hook that up to check these things.
