Well...the monster rack rig is almost done!

The only thing that hasn't arrived is the Dunlop rack-mounted Crybaby-it should be here in a week or so! So far, I've got:

http://members.aol.com/vaijem777/Riveraback.jpg

http://members.aol.com/vaijem777/Pedalboard.jpg

RACK:
-Furman PL-8
-Korg DTR1 Tuner
-DMC GCX Switcher
-G-Major
-BBE 442 Sonic Maximizer
-Rivera TBR-1SL (I've got a TBR-2SL as a backup)
-Mesa/Boogie 10-space shockmounted rack
-Ibanez TS9 Tube Screamer
-MXR Phase 90
-Dunlop Brick power supply

-Arriving soon: Dunlop Rack-mounted Crybaby

Pedalboard:

-DMC Ground Control Pro
-Dunlop Brick
-Fulltone FatBoost
-Boss TU2 Tuner
-Dunlop Copper Crybaby
-(2) Ernie Ball Volume pedals

I've got the TS-9 so that I basically have a "third channel" on the Rivera for a smoother, milder overdrive. And the Phase 90 is just so smooth and nice sounding, that I wanted it in there as well. Both are controlled by the Ground Control Pro via the GCX. I've also re-wired the Rivera's footswitch so that I can switch channels with the Ground Control Pro via the G-Major's relays. I built the pedal board this last weekend, and found a great hardshell keyboard case that fits it perfectly! I also plan on putting some aluminim edging around the edges of the pedalboard to finish it off.

How are you digging the Ground Control Pro in your setup? Has it been difficult to operate everything with it?

Actually, the GC Pro has been a blessing! It's ridiculously easy to use. I've got it set up for 4 presets, and 8 direct acces buttons, and have them set as follows:

1- Filter/Modulation on G-Major
2- Pitch on G-Major
3- Chorus/Flanger on G-Major
4- Delay on G-Major
5- System Mute (Tuner mute)
6- Rivera channel switching
7- TS-9
8- Phase 90

This way, I can control the individual FX within the G-Major presets. I've got real-time control of the parameters via the volume pedals too (usually either delay time, phaser speed, or "Leslie"-type speed). The outside volume pedal also bypasses the G-Major completely, just in case something goes wrong. Then, I just have the Rivera's direct signal, with the BBE added to it so there's not too a volume drop off at all. Also, since the TS-9 and Phase 90 aren't in the FX loop, I can use them with the G-major bypassed as well.

The bottom (4) buttons on the GC pro are G-Major presets. I re-program the preset order for every gig, according to the set list.

It's turned out to be a MUCH more versatile rig than I'd hoped for!

I've actually got a couple of copper Dunlops: the standard Crybaby, which is in that picture, and a very rare Crybaby 535Q. They're both solid copper, not plated. Believe it or not, the standard one came Guitar Center. They had them a couple of years back for their 30th Anniversary or something. They were $299, then $199, and I finally got that one for $199. I've got an extra one laying around somewhere. The 535Q is quite rare- there are only a couple of dozen or so of them out here. I got it from a friend of mine who is a rep for Kaman Music. He was given it as a sales award for being one of the top sellers of Dunlop products in the US. I think Dave Weiner has one as well.

LOL Yeah...that's my official DEVO Energy Dome, signed by all of the original members. My band went as DEVO to our Halloween gig a last month, and I picked up a bunch of the hats from ClubDevo.com. I couldn't resist getting a signed one!

Note to self: Never volunteer to be Chris's roadie, I've owned import cars that weigh less than that rig.

LOL I told my wife it's a good thing she's been working out. The two of us can get it up into her Explorer with no problem, but it's definitely NOT a one-man job. Thank goodness for my "roadie!"

That Crate combo needs to be gone from the picture, IMHO.

LOL Yeah...the little cream tube-combo was a gift from my late boss. It only exists for sentimental reasons, and as a handy little traveling tube-combo. Actually has half-decent tone...well, for a Crate.

The bass on the bottom amp is my wife's though. I tried to talk her into a nice Ampeg or something, but...right price, right time, and it's relatively light.
