What do u prefer? 6 or 7 Stirngs? - *Let's see who really lo

* *I personally Prefer 7 string, i feel incomplete without one, even though i still have 6 strings and play them regularly but i will take a 7 string over a 6 string of the same quality.

7, all the way. *Ever since I started playing 7s, 6s just don't feel right anymore. *Not enough substance to the neck.

*Ummmmmmm!!! thats one tasty dish. Too bad we can't, i would love to see and play that 7 string. i would convert my 7620 like that but i would be missing the gloden parts. and no bridge can compare to the awesome qualities of the lo pro edge 7.

*I've been playing guitar for about 2 years, and 7 strings for about 1. To me, the entire concept of 7 strings just makes sense...most of the time, whenever i pick up a 6, it has the same effect as if you were to play a piano with some keys whacked off...it's just...missing. I have a lot of people say " well, what's that extra string there for ? So you can do that low, grungey stuff ? " { remember, i live in a nowhere East Tennesee town }, and i say " no...it's just...more notes to use". That's why 7 strings make sense for me ; they don't just let me grind, they give me more notes, plain and simple. At the moment, though, i play my 6's just as much as my 7's , but really just because my USRG10 sounds so great ! Whenever i throw some Dimarzio's in my *7 strings, i might not ever go back... * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * My vote goes to 7 strings ! * * * * * *-+-ben-+-

7!

Simply because it's opened up a whole new world of scalar and chordal possibilities.

I've got guitars with both six and seven strings. And I have to say sevenstrings are the most comfortable guitars for me. It's strange to hear people say you don't need the seventh string. Well, you don't need the sixth one either, go and get yourself one of Chandler's Keith fivestring models. I find it a lot easier to play a seven because of the wider neck, and the fact that you don't have to move around the neck so much. I'm lazy.

Sevens all the way. *And it's not just for the low sound - plenty of people are getting great low tones with standard six strings. *It's also the chord shapes made possible and also having an extra string to play without requiring a position change.

And of course the shear power of that low A... *
