What is the best sounding guitar/amp combo you have played..

Ok...

Here's the question...

What is the best sounding guitar / Amp combination you have ran through?

Why did you like the sound???

We aren't talking about 92 effects pedals, or your guitar, a GT-6 , then the amp....

Just the guitar, and amp alone <NOTHING ELSE>..... what brands/models were they??

Since you didn't rule out modelling amps, I'll have to say my Flextone II with my modded Squier Strat or Schecter Revenger-7.

Also, I played an Ibanez RG-7620 through a nice H&K half-stack once, that sounded pretty sweet.

My Duncan-equipped Dean Evo Special 7 into a Mesa Single Rectifier 50 Solo Head and a Mesa Rectifier 212 cab.

Deep, rich, clear clean channel, and absolutely massive chunk. Loved it in the store, couldn't afford to take it home.

RG421 with Dimarzio Evolution pups, Jem 2k DNA (for playing leads, the breeds were smoother)

straight into a Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier Tripple Channel 100w Head, into a sealed Mesa 2 speaker upright cab (not sure what the model was).

Nothing inbetween (well, a few metres between me and the amp...It was extremely loud).

wil..

A well made Jackson with EMG's into my teachers old marshall. I think it's a JCM50 or something. It was only in production for like, a year, but oh the sound. Some serious death metal riffs come outta that thing when I use it.

It's my mini rig, but packs the fattest tone I've ever heard.
I have a G-force in there, but it sounds great without it.
