2 Custom made RG style body with fixed bridge.
2 Custom made Iceman guitars.
All HSS with Duncan JBs in the bridge, and hot stacks in the neck and middle.

Amp:
2 Brunetti Mecury EL34 heads with at least 2 4-12 cabs or more

Pedal board:
Cry baby original wah
Line6 green delay thingy
Noise gate

And a good chorus pedal.

and Monster cables.

That would be my setup.

Re: What is your dream rig?

Well, on one hand..my current rig (Atomic Reactor + Pod XT) is pretty much the best thing for me, cuz its simple and doesnt require constant tweaking and stuff...but for me I guess if i had unlimited funds, I'd probably get myself a nice Mesa Stiletto or Lonestar with a couple of Xotic effects pedals (BB preamp, etc). Can anyone tell Im a Timmons fan? lol.

Re: What is your dream rig?

Custom Suhr (similar to Tom Quayle's although with 24 frets)
Fender USA Strat (got)
Ibanez RG Prestige (got)
Ibanez 7 string

AXE FX and Atomic Cab

Maybe another more traditional rig with tubes and pedals (even if the Axe could do it all):

TC Electronics Polytune (Although my headstock tuner serves me well)
Toadworks Texas Flood
Suhr Riot (got)
TC Flashback Delay (If it turns out as good as it seems it should be)

Into a Peavey JSX

Re: What is your dream rig?

I'm pretty content with my rig (Line 6 M9 stereo to a fender twin and a mesa boogie rect-o-verb) But the main problem is I rarely play in a stage big enough to allow for the volume! That and I have a very small car.

Seriously though, most of these rigs you guys are stating are so big, you could only use them in arena's!

Mind you, that's why this thread is called, "What is your dream rig?" not, "What is your dream rig that's actually realistic to use?".

Re: What is your dream rig?

I'd like to think I'll be happy with what I've got but that's just not going to ever be the truth.

So the dream rig I have in my head right now is:

Ibanez RG570, which I have.
Ibanez 540R, HSS configuration
EVH Wolfgang Black Cherry Burst
PRS Custom 24
Marshall Vintage Modern 2266 50 watt combo
EVH 5150 III head and cab
A fine assortment of pedals to experiment with all day long.

I could be happy with that.

For a while.

Re: What is your dream rig?

being surrounded by mesa boogies!

There's no mesa sellers in my country so sometimes people travel and bring them to sell.
Generally people ask for a dual recto head about 6.000 dollars which for brazilian standards(and I bet for USA too) is crazyness cause it's half price of my car!!!
Our border taxes are too high so no mesa for 99% of brazilian guitarists.
Maybe someday I'll find a rich USA guitarist who will love making my dream come true sending me a mesa! (come on it's only about 1200 dollars!)
He would buy his place in heaven lol

Re: What is your dream rig?

A Suhr Modern to add to my small collection of an 87 RG and two JP6's.

Mark V with my current pedal board.

And hopefully I'll have all this by end of year.

Re: What is your dream rig?

Hmmm...let's see...A Mesa/Boogie TriAxis or Marshall JMP-1, a decent power-amp like the 2:90 and a Mesa Recto cab, and some Ibanez J-Custom RG's.

Wait...that's my rig!

Re: What is your dream rig?

The last time I thought of such things it was those Randall rack modules, 4 to a rack unit, interchangable. I don't know what ones I'd get but I'd have that, some massive tube power amp like the VHT 2150, a multi-effects unit for fun, some Eventide Harmonizer, and four 4x12's. And a Roadie/van driver.

Re: What is your dream rig?

I wouldn't change a lot about my rig.

Right now its:

Ibanez RX60 > Digitech RP500 > Fender Roc Pro 700 (hybrid combo amp).

I would pretty much upgrade it across the board, to something like:

Ibanez RG550 > Digitech RP1000 [4 cable method] > any good tube amp, like a Carvin Legacy

Pretty basic, But it does everything I want it to.
