Re: what kinds of pedals do you use in your setup

Here's mine.

(I hope that worked, I've never put up a picture on this site before!)

I think i might get myself a nice tubescreamer soon. Looking pretty closely at visual sounds route 808, the option of added bass entices me

Toodles, Julz.

Re: what kinds of pedals do you use in your setup

only one pedal.......Boss NS-2

I run any of my RG's into the NS-2> Gallien Krueger 2100cpl pre-amp using the onboard chorus and reverb> QSC V3 stereo power amp> custom sealed cab with 1 V30 and 1 G12T-75 on each side (4x12)

I use a White 4400
rack mount EQ in the FX loop of the GK.

Fairly simple: MXR AUTO Q and Tube Screamer up front and BOSS CE-20 and DD-20 -no the loop, all controlled by the Rocktron Patchmate 8 and Rocktron All Access.

I have MY tone dialed in perfectly and couldn't be happier. Get many complements on how great it sounds.
What does the Legacy bring to your tone then? I ask because I'm going to try the same with my Rivera valve combo.

Re: what kinds of pedals do you use in your setup

Well, I have the bass on the amp down to 1 otherwise it woofs. Mid at 4 and treble at 5. It just is the perfect setting for me with bright highs for solos and a tight bass and mid. It is the perfect set-up with my JEM VSBL and I can change the distortion with the volume knob. I can roll it back for the 80's metal and a little farther for rock. At 10 on the volume knob it just screams metal. Don't know if that helps but I cannot say enough about the Legacy combo. Also the amp sounds just as good with my ZOOM G2.

Typically a Rte 66 OD, Line 6 Echo Park & TCE Hall of Fame reverb. Once in a while I'll throw in a BD2 & Musket combo for this kind of thing:
