What speaker use Mr Steve Vai?

The question is simple: who knows what speaker are in the Legacy 4x12 cab that Vai use now, and in the Marshall 4x12 cab that Vai used in the past??

I tried and failed to find a solid answer about this. (jemsite.com, vai.com ...)

Before the Legacy, Vai was using Marshall 4x12, but I never read anything about the speaker loaded in them.

In the new Legacy, I don't know if his cabs are "stock", and loaded with Greenback reissue (or original ones ;-) ) or not.

Thank you for any answer.

legacy cabs originally came with greenback, but now are equipped with Vintage 30s. As far as *I* know, hes used those two speakers for quite a while, but as with any gear junky, Im sure hes run the gamut as far as speakers go.

Yes Carvin had too much trouble with blown speaker in the Legacy combo and went to Vintage 30 speakers.

In his old Marshall cabs, nobody's knows the speakers he was using?

They were "30 watt Celestions". I dare say that they were probably Vintage 30s.

Vintage 30s are 60 watt speakers, not 30...common misconception

well that explains why i have a Vintage 30 in a 50watt valve combo..
always thought that must have been one efficent speaker to handle 50watts of power.. but since it's 60watt.. it makes more sense.

Very interesting, but it is not tha answer of the original question...
For who, Steve's fans, nobody knows what kind of speaker he is (or was) using??

During the '03 G3 tour, Steve was using 25 watt Celestion Greenbacks in his 4x12 Legacy cabs on stage.
