What strap locks?

Hey everyone,
I will defiantly be buying some strap locks to protect my new Ibanez RG Prestige guitar but I want to know which ones to get. I only want strap locks that require no modification to my guitar (e.g tooth picks and glue mod)
I'm looking at either the Dunlop Strap Locks or the Schaller locks. But I have heard that the Schallers need modification to be installed into an Ibanez. Is this the case with the Dunlops?

What should I buy guys?

I'm a lifetime schaller user. I've had them on my strat for more than 17 years and installed them on my RG Premium the day it arrived, no modification needed other than changing the strap buttons.

Just use the screw that came with the stock straps. Should be no issues.

the gotoh ones were used on the older prestiges. i'm a user of schallers, but have some dunlops in the herd. the majority of my ibanez's have cliplocks, though.

not true in the case of ibanez. for fender, definitely. ibanez uses a larger screw and the screw itself won't pass into the button on a schaller and sometimes on a dunlop, but the screw head won't recess into the button in order to mate with the lock. dunlop's come with slightly larger screws than schaller and usually require no filling beforehand. just my experience.

Interesting. The Ibanez I installed some onto fit just fine when I installed it several years ago.

Can someone please give me more information on these Gotoh strap locks? Seeing as Ibanez used them they sound ideal

Rubber washers mate (like the link below or make your own). I have a dozen guitars, Kramers Gibsons, Ibbos, ESPs and they all have their own straps with these on. I swing them around my neck and everything. The good thing about these is your cable can still wedge tight between your strap and your guitar. Save your money, save your time debating it on this site and get ROCKING!!!!!!

these came factory on my rg2120x and rg7ct. my rgt3120 and rg3120 had aftermarket straps/strap locks installed before i got them.
