Where can I buy Carvin Legacy amp???

I have finally decided to buy a Carvin Legacy amp, possibly because steve vai used that and a jem to record most of his Real Illusions album, and 2ndly because I really love the sound of the Clean and Distorted channels!! and am not sure that buying a cheaper amp, then going to buy effects and endless pedals to try and make the amp sound better makes any sense!!!

Does anybody know where in the UK or USA I can buy this amp and if so at a reasonable price?? I have only seen one WEb site and they are selling the Combo amp at £900, in the US they Cost £500!!!($999) so is it worth my while importing one from US?? If so does anyone know of a good place?

I would buy direct from Carvin,,,mostly because they have a good warranty program and if you don't like the way it sounds they will take it back. That to me was worth it's weight in gold. I ordered a Legacy combo the first year they came out.... absolutely hated it. I almost bought one online at a popular auction house,,,but at the last minute decided that the difference in money versus the option of warranty, and return certainly outweighed the cost savings. I'm not bad mouthing the Legacy at all. I simply didn't like it. It wasn't me then,,,, I'm more of Marshall, or JSX guy,,need alot of distortion dripping off the speakers. I would love to have a Legacy half stack now as a second sound source. But when it was my only sound source just couldn't committ.

So in short ( too late I know ) you may want to consider buying direct from Carvin, hell give em a call and talk to them who knows? However if you are familiar with the sound with you guitar and effects running through it and you all ready know you like the sound,,,,then get it by any means available. Through this site or Evil-bay.

Thats good to know!!! Not sure whether Carvin will ship to the UK or not though?? I think even if I do get if from the US I will still be saving about £300!!!

The only dealer in the UK is www.carvin.co.uk ...give them a ring because I don't think they update their website very often.

You have to buy from Carvin if you want new. They're a direct retailer. Or buy second hand.

Just remember, your sound will sound nothing like Vai's, doesn't matter what amp you buy.

Actually if you live outside U.S./Canada you can't buy direct from them. They don't ship outside of U.S./Canada. They sell through importer/dealers in other countries and all deals/specials/prices that Carvin offers in north America don't apply unless that particular importer/dealer wants them to apply.
