which has more power: Lexicon or Tc electronics??

I'm making a move from stompboxes back to good ol' rack gear! I've been hearing a lot of hype about T.c. electronics and lexicon multi fx units. The tc g major/gforce and the lexicon PCM80-91's.

So i need some help from jemsite........

which has more effects?
Which has the higher limit in running fx simultaneously?
Which has more upgradability?
Which has better fx routing capability? (can both route in series and parallel, how many "stereo" fx can you have simultaneously running in a preset etc.??)
How is the pitch shifting in the tc electronics? how many voices ?

How is the switching of effects on/off with a midi foot controller? when switching reverbs and delays off, do they continue their decays or do they end abruptly with loud clicks and pops?

I need an fx unit with great reverbs, delays/echos, filters, mod fx, pitch shifting, that morph and don't give you loud clicks and pops when switching fx on/off with a midi foot controller.

I need to know..............i'm also looking at an Eventide GTR/DSP 4000 series........but i feel it may be overkill for my needs. I'm not gonna drown my guitar tone in a million crazy effects. And i don't want to spend a season or two trying to learn a complex machine when i could be recording music.

the highest i'd spend on a multi fx unit right now would be $1500..

If you have $1500 to spend, just buy a brand new Eventide Eclipse.

If I used effects at all, I'd probably go with a Lexicon MPX G2. They seem to sound good, and I've heard that they're not bad to program.

I'm really tempted to go all out and just settle for the eventide GTR/DSP 4000........that will probably be the last multi fx (for my guitar rig) i'll ever buy and need
I wish AMS had this baby.......gotta love those no interest EZ payment plans!
