Which Whammy is better? - how does the reissue compare to th

I was considering the purchase of a whammy pedal and I am not sure whether or not to search around for the original WH-1 or just go for the reissue. *I dont really care about having the original pedal I just need something that will accurately reproduce satriani's whammy sounds without having that software latency (delayed reaction) problem that the whammy that was built into my rp2000 had. *I have never tried the WH-1 but does it have that delayed feel as well? *Which one should I go for?

I would get the original. *I have had the second one, and I now have the original. *The reissue and the whammy wah suck. *The reissue is the better of the two but is not as good as the original. *I have seen originals go for a little more than the reissue. *If you are patient you can snag one.

How about the latency issue? What exactly is better about the WH-1? Also, if the WH-4 is so different from the original then how can digitech list "original whammy performance" as a feature; it seems to me that such a statement would be very misleading towards an unknowing buyer. *

I have no experience with the latest RI or the original. *FWIW: I've had the XP-100 and didn't like it at all. *I now have the Whammy II (the black one) and like it much better. *Has the same IVL technology as the original.
