Who does mods on the Legacy?

Anyone know of someone who does the master volume mod on the Legacy? If it`s similar to the old Marshalls and only sounds good when dimed then why not have a master volume installed for the home use rockers.

From what I've heard, master volume is still before the power amp stage so you aren't really getting the effect desired. I use a THD Hotplate attinuator with mine.

How about just a distortion box of some sort? Would that solve the bedroom use only?
