Why exactly will an edgepro not fit into an edge route?

will an edgepro fit into an edge/lopro route...

ok i know the top dimensions will fit and the posts will line up, though it's possible the sides of the tail part of the edgepro will be tight(can anyone verify this or measure their edgepro?)

soo.. the problem lies underneath, with the trem block. can anyone verify that any specific part of the block on the edgepro is too big and by how much?
what is touching? because obviously the inside of the guitar is easy to modify and route or file, and my specific axe here has an oil finish that i can easily touch up if i mod it.

thanks all!

the answer is not there. i was one of the people asking questions in that thread!
the edge3 is not the same as the edge route but thanks for trying to help

i've searched high and low for these answers or edgepro dimensions, with no luck..

I don't have the exact mesurments but I did install an edgepro once in an edge cavity. Inside the cavity, on the left side, you need to rout the part that is slightly protruding all the way down almost to the buttom.
I think that a picture will be more clear so:

I'm talking about the part that is marked in black.
(Ignore the a,b,c,d marks, they are from a different thread)

ermmmm!?? (scratches head)
Why exactly would you want to replace an Edge or a LoPro Edge with an EdgePro ?

Plenty of people want to replcae their EdgePro's with an Edge or a LoPro but then that makes sense.

Re: Why exactly will an edgepro not fit into an edge route?

i'm halfway through a hardware colour change anyway and the old black edge needs to go..
the edgepro looks nice, technically functions better than an edge as long as it has locking studs and has the lower profile with finetuners out of the way that i like.. so i'm keen to try it out.
most people prefer the edge only for feel and tradition but many like the edge pro just as much
