will this power supply work w/ this pedal?

i have an adapter that says:
class 2 transformer (is it a robot in disguise?)
input - ac120V 60Hz 8W
output - dc9v 300mA

and then i got a cheap behringer delay pedal that says the power supply should be:
9v, 100mA DC regulated.

Will it supply power for my pedal or will it fry it? I obviously don't know much about electricity and wiring.

thanks in advance!

yes, im pretty sure that class 2 is regulated DC supply. it should supply that pedal with no problem.
I will power the pedal although some PSU's will create electrical noise, if you find that your rig is noisy after using it, it could be the PSU.

I don't think its a good idea to give the pedal 3x the amp rating its asking for.

the pedal will only take what it needs !

working on that theory, every time you plug your TV in to a 32A main - the TV will suck up 32A and go BANG...
it dont work like that..

Shredhead... you'll be fine.

But what if you were to use a 300ma powersupply that was unregulated..?

Re: will this power supply work w/ this pedal?

it would still be fine, just 'inconsistently' powered ie. relatively noise prone

exactly, TVs have built in voltage regulators and power supplys so they can take what they need.

So assuming you had a 1amp power supply, if it was regulated you would have no problem powering pedals without noise.
