Wood types for a universe body? - What wood type has a thick

I considering getting a replacement body for a UV777BK to get swirled but I'm wondering if a different piece of wood would sound as thick but would be lighter. Also do any of you guys have suggestions as to where to get the body. I was considering Custom guitar wares.

Well concidering basswood is already pretty light you could stick with that and theres always styrofoam.

emmm you could try a light honduran mahogany or luan mahogany, alder is kinda light, hell just check this page out

One other option is to have the body chambered. *It would cost you more, but you'd have a very light and unique piece. *I believe the Tom Andrson give some guidance about what chambering does to tone.
