WTF IS THIS?
Go to dimarzio.com go to cables, go to instrument and 2nd from the bottom is the Vai signature cable. I checked the list price of it and the 10 footer's price is 125 USD wtf! It seems like a great cable but for 125 dollars i could get a gotoh floyd to put on my fender

yeah thats why i don't use wireless just I was asking doesn't vai use wireless more often than wired because he likes moving around, but i guess he probably uses them in the studio. I have a blue dimarzio cable and its my best one out of 1000's but I can't imagine spending that kind of money on a signature cable. Probably great cable though

Re: WTF IS THIS?
I think I'll stick with my
Monster cable
(which is a great deal btw, the lifetime warranty is legit, I broke the end of the cable and the people from my store replaced it right there)

Re: WTF IS THIS?
Question, does a wireless really cut down on tone that much? Significant? Noticable? I've been thinking about getting one.

Nope if you choose the right one but really look for the right one.

Re: WTF IS THIS?
Your paying for the Vai logo so you know which end to put in your guitar but your paying 125 dollars for Dimarzio to put it to you.

Re: WTF IS THIS?
Vai uses the Xwire so it's better than a cord. Because a cord would degrade your sound from capacitance as it gets longer. The Xwire is digital and people have raved about it for years. Analog wireless on the other hand, is worse than a reasonable length cable due to compression, bass loss and HISS.
If you want a wireless look into the X2 (digital).
