Yngwie Malmsteen's New Signature Amp - Made By Rhino
FYI - Another signature amp is supposedly coming out. *I found this article in Yngwie.org. *There is nothing mentioned about it on rhino's webpage.
Out,
GP
Rhino Amplification's New YJM Model Amp
Yngwie Malmsteen
changed the way guitar is played... Now he changes the way Guitar Amplifiers are built... Yngwie Malmsteen's trademark sound is the result of not only his extraordinary ability but also a unique combination of vintage amps and pedals. For years, there has always been a desire to have an amplifier which can capture all these elements in a single unit. In conjunction with Rhino Amplification (based in Texas, USA), that special amplifier is being designed and built from the ground up.
Featuring vintage tube amp design, classic overdrive, an adjustable noise gate, a tube-buffered effects loop, and a post-power tube/power amp output volume attenuator, this amplifier will embody everything Yngwie has ever wanted in a modern amplifier. Still in the prototype and testing phase, the design engineers at Rhino are working around the clock to develop the amplifier to suit Yngwie's demanding tastes. After each modification, the prototypes are sent to Miami for testing. Comments are made and the design process continues. When finished, this amplifier will embody Yngwie's sound in a single
amp head
design. More details to come

Yngwie Malmsteen's New Signature Amp
I always thought Yngwie's tone was a combination of Marshall and puffy pirate shirts... :loco:

Yngwie Malmsteen's New Signature Amp
In regards to the eq section of the amp it will probably just have a treble knob that goes to 11.

Correction: should read : "In regards to the eq section of the amp it will probably just have a treble knob that STARTS AT 11."

Anything to rid him of the disastrous tone he's had on the last few albums...

Yngwie Malmsteen's New Signature Amp
Seriously, if you wanna get a little more insight into it then please feel to free to check out my Yngwie website
http://www.yngwiemalmsteen.net
(this is a shameless plug btw!!), in the forum Yngwie's manager tells a little more about it - basically it will be used live and NOT in the studio - also Yngwie's next studio album will have an outside engineer/producer so should sound infinitely better than the flabfest that was 'War To End All Wars'.

Yngwie Malmsteen's New Signature Amp
Thanks for the compliment, I am trying to find a decent new free webspace host as geocities is not the most reliable, the site is down 50% of the time....so if it is down check back in a couple of hours.
If anyone knows of any good free host sites please let me know.
Thanks
Andy

While not my cup of tea, Yngwie is a great player, but God who'd want THAT tone... inconsievable.
