Zoom G7 Vs G9

Hey guys I've been thinking of getting the G9 so I could use it to record direct into my laptop (with the free cubase software) and to use it to plug into PA's etc for when I need to travel about for rehearsals in the near future. But how different is the G7 to the G9?

Would I be better off with the G9? or does the G7 sound pretty much the same? Is it a little easier to get your head around?

Besides extra features (another expression pedal, more models, efx etc) basically. I have a G7 and it's not bad at all. I don't use a ton of efx so the G7 suits me just fine. But if you're willing to pay more for the extra features of the G9, go for it.

Zoom and behringer are the worst equipments on earth.
Every zoom has a digital completely sterille sound.I hate zoom.
But if you'll use it for studing and composing,it's fine,but for recording and playing never !!!!!

Whatever floats your boat. I think that the G7 is a good multi-efx unit without spending a lot (i.e Boss).

If you want a good sound from pedals,take a look at ROCKTRON UTOPIA.
Better than any BOSS, ZOOM , LINE 6 and DIGITECH stuff.

I agree all valve heads are amazing but I really need something that would help me with some home recording and occasional rehearsals. Carrying a big 100 watt head gets annoying if you haven't got your own transport.

Don't listen to TREVA, I doubt he has spent much time with the new Zoom gear. Sure the old stuff wasn't that great, but the new G series is good value for money. I have a G7.1ut and can get some great tones out of it. Sure it's not a valve amp, but it's still pretty damn good. plus you cab hook directly in to a PC or a PA system and get some good tones with the cabinet sims.

If you've definitely got the money for a G9 try it out and if you like it buy it. If you are a little short try the G7 and if you like it buy it.

I have zoom G2 for studing and composing.It is cra.p.Zoom always was a cra.p and still is.How can you tell what I do with my life if you didn't know me ?Do you have crystal ball ?
I play since 1985 so I bet I already used every guitar equipment on the streets,so zoom is cra.p.Like I said for studing and composing,it's ok,nothing more than that.
Somebody who believes that a cra.p digital with everything inside toy is good,should buy brains !!

I do like my G9.2tt. It has some really nice tones. Never regret buying it as I had some great times with it. I still need to explore the item a bit more to fully utilise it to its maximum potential.
