Zoom GT9 Software

I've downloaded the application and the patch pack. I'm at work at the moment but was just wanting a heads up. I've not installed it yet, is it easy to set up, can i just plug in FX board to usb and not plug it through amp and basically will it read my current patches and can i just tweak them there and then? As i type this its obvious i'm gonna need the guitar and amp plugged in so i can hear the changes.

But if it's just a case of moving them and changing settings without hearing, can this be done? Also is there anywhere I can get preset patches such as a vai or satriani setting for example that I could just upload to it?

And the file patch that i downloaded from the site, what does it include? And how do i install it?

thanks in advance?

Start at thestompbox.net and see if there are some folks that can share some patches with you. Most people here are boss addicts.
