Item for sale: 1 1990 Ibanez Jem in Desert Sun Yellow. American basswood body, 1 piece maple neck with
maple fretboard and disappearing pyramid inlays. Trem arm and non-original hard shell case included
Description & Condition:
body: body has several dings to the wood along the front edge by the tone knob; neck pocket finish cracks are present; guitar has a "set" of cracks on the face and around the end pin that appear to have been caused by being dropped on the pin - 3 finish cracks circle the pin and come up to the face of the guitar and run up to the trem route, these appear to be only clear finish deep and not cracks in the wood. guitar has a 1 inch chip to the wood along the back edge along side the output jack cover (which is missing) rear trem cover plate is on guitar.
neck: finish on fretboard is completely worn off from playing, though frets are remarkably still playable though wear is apparent. It may have had a refret, I can't tell. neck has a 3/4 inch crack from the bass side nut anchor hole running towards the top of the headstock. It has not been repaired, but has been stable for a few years now. (the guitar was brought to a luthier for repair, who implied it wasn't necessary if it wasn't running toward the fretboard or across the width of the neck, and it was left as is).
truss rod cover is missing. tip of headstock has small finish chips (can you imagine?!)
Other: when this guitar was aquired the pickguard was covered with stickers and nasty. the original pickguard is included, but the guitar wears a 1990 RG750 pickguard now (same year, same plant....) All electronics and trem bits are original. guitar actually plays very well, and sounds fine.

Other Information: This guitar is not actually mine, but belongs to one of my brothers. Because you will be dealing with me, you can consider it mine and expect me to back it and portray it as if it were mine. You can check my seller rating, and expect that I will be honest and upfront about the instrument. I will be taking many pics and posting them up this afternoon. My brother is in California, so if you email me with "will you take a whatever in trade" you'll need to wait for his response. He's an absolute guitar nut, so he may take trades, but I believe he's looking to get what he paid for it out of it.
One more: in case multiple people want the instrument, the order they get their interest noted IN THIS THREAD is the order I'll take them. If you email me, then please post an "EMAIL SENT" post in the thread.
thanks,
jim
