FS: 8 JEMS, 777SK, 777DY, 777LNG, 777VBK, 77PMC, 7RB, 7PBK, JEM20th
Hello fellow Jemsiters! Well, I’m sure many of you read my post and some of you were eagerly awaiting this post. I tried to take a ton of pictures, so I hope that the pics answer most questions.
I have 8 Jems for sale here. Here are some things to know about me and my guitars:
1. I have never gigged with any of my Jems, once in my possession, these babies got played, wiped down, and put either in their cases or on my wall. I am more of a collector than a player.
2. The only guitar that I am the original owner of is the Jem 20th. I don’t know why this matters, but it gets asked all the time.
3. Where did I get my Jems? Well, 3bay mostly, but I got my 77PMC from Matt, another Jemsiter (who got it from Rich). I got my 777VBK direct from Rich at Ibanez Rules. I got my 7RB from a fellow Jemsiter & I got my Jem 20th from Ken Stanton Music here in Georgia.
4. Why am I selling these guitars? Read my original post
HERE
5. Do I want to trade for another guitar? No, for sale only.
6. Did I keep ANY of my Jems? Yes, I kept my 77FP (it was my first Jem purchase) and I’m having
Herc Fede swirl
a 777DY, so I’ll have 2 Jems total.
7. How much is shipping? Well, I would prefer to ship only to the USA, but will obviously ship overseas too. USA shipping will be $35 via Fed Ex ground insured. Overseas, you tell me. I have never shipped a guitar overseas so I have no clue. Oh, and if you are buying from another country, I won’t ship to your uncle who lives in Florida, I hate your uncle, he is a prick. No scams allowed ☺. I will only ship to overseas buyers who have a good iTrader record, or have plenty of posts and have been around a while.
8. What forms of payment do I take? Paypal, Postal Money Order, or Bank of America cashiers check. I will ONLY SHIP TO THE PAYPAL CONFIRMED ADDRESS. If you address isn’t confirmed, then send a money order.
9. So you think my prices are too high, eh? Simple solution to that, don’t buy ☺. I am selling these guitars for what I paid, sometimes a little over. I am even taking a loss on some (like my Jem 20th). If any of my Jems don’t get sold here with the prices I have on them, I’ll take them over to the bay and you can try to win them there for a lower price. I’m not looking for a mark down sale, or your best offer. I feel that the prices are consistent with the current market and are fair. I will not lower any prices. You can ask, but you won’t get a reply. For all I know, some of the prices may actually be too high, and if they are, I’ll let 3bay set the price for me. I will post the guitars that don’t sell in $1, no reserve auctions.
10. Cases. Well, I have no clue about cases. I know the 20th has its original case, the 777LNG has its original case, but the rest of the cases kind of got mixed up. The 77PMC didn’t come with a case, but I put it in the prettiest Ibanez case I had. I’m not quite sure on whether the cases are UV1000’s or UVwhothef*ckknows. I didn’t buy the guitars for their cases, but I’ve taken nice pictures of the case that comes with each guitar. You can figure it out from there.
If you have any questions about any of the guitars, like condition questions or any general question, please post it in the public forum so everyone can see. They might have the same question and instead of answering 10 PM’s, I can take care of it in one reply.

Re: FS: 8 JEMS, 777SK, 777DY, 777LNG, 777VBK, 77PMC, 7RB, 7PBK, JEM20th
Let’s get started shall we?
JEM7RB-Root Beer 891043 1989
ROOT BEER PHOTOS
I always loved the Root Beer, but hated the neck. My rules for collecting Jems was the neck had to have either a vine or a pyramid on it ☺. That’s what drew me to this one. It is a 7RB body with a 7PBK neck. This guitar is signed by Steve Vai on the front with a little clear coat on it (was like that when I got it). It also has a backstage deal from The Ultra Zone tour that is also signed. It is also signed by
Mike Keneally
on the back of the headstock. She has some dings on her, all of which I have photographed. Slight neck joint crack on the top neck joint as shown. Plays great, you’ll most likely want to set her up like you like. Neck looks and feels great, frets are nice as well. This is the only Jem I’m selling that doesn’t have an Ibanez case. It didn’t come with one so I put it in an old Kramer hard shell case. The right latch doesn’t always snap. PRICE $1377
JEM777VBK 915789 1991
JEM777VBK PHOTOS
JUST bought this one from Rich at Ibanez Rules. It is currently in his used section. I won’t link to it because I don’t know if he would approve, but here is his description of the guitar:
“91’ in VG++ or Exc--, take your pick. I count 14 small <2mm dings on the top, mostly just causing a tiny fog spot or circle crack, but the treble side of the trem cavity has a large chip [hidden by the trem in playing position] that’s been blackened with sharpie, and another chip at the tip of the lower horn. The top side has a 4x6mm ding just off the arm contour, a small chip on the edge near the jack, and a 4mm ding on the inside of the lower horn. I count another 10 of the same small dings on the back, ¼” NJFC on the treble and 1” on the bass side. Typical chip to the tip edge of the head and a couple more small marks on the edge. There is very little fretwear but the trem has seen better days with blistering on the baseplate and tops of the lower saddles, with plenty of finish wear to the neck plate. In original UV1000 that has plenty of small tolex losses, the latches browned, and a puncture tear at the lower horn tip to the interior, otherwise fully functional.** $1525** GONE** THANKS KEVIN** 10/4/07”
Umm, I don’t have anything to add except I had him set it up to E flat. You can check his pics out as well as mine. I’m selling it for the same I paid for it: PRICE $1525
JEM777SK 882233 1988
JEM777SK PHOTOS
Ok, first things first, this color pink is very hard to photograph. When the flash fires, it looks faded, when I don’t use flash, the color is still off. I’m going to have to tell you to trust me on the color. It’s PERFECT. No fading whatsoever. The body of this guitar is in excellent shape. The neck joints are perfect, no cracks. There are two small dings that don’t go through the paint on the front. I have photographed them with toothpick beside the dings. Neck looks and feels great, some browning on it as you can see in the pics. But a good cleaning would help. Comes with Ibanez case as shown. PRICE $1777
JEM777DY 882133 1988
JEM777DY PHOTOS
This one is a nice player. She has a few dings on her, but as you can see by the full body shots, it’s not bad unless you hold her up close. I have photographed each ding so I’ll let the pics do the talking on those. There are some hairline cracks at the neck joints. The neck looks and feels great, frets are good. There is a little browning on the neck. Comes with the Ibanez case shown. The lock on the case is broken as pictured, won’t close. PRICE $1577
JEM7PBK 890711 1989
JEM7PBK PHOTOS
JUST bought this one on 3bay. Aside from a couple of dings, she is in excellent shape. Now here’s the funny thing. The neck on this guitar does not have
scalloped frets
. I searched this forum to see if anyone else has ever run into this, and low and behold, a few others have had the same thing.
HERE
is the thread on this topic. I took the neck off to verify that it was legit, and as you can see by the pics, it is. The neck joint is clean on this one as well. This guitar is in great shape and comes with the Ibanez case shown. PRICE $1777

Re: FS: 8 JEMS, 777SK, 777DY, 777LNG, 777VBK, 77PMC, 7RB, 7PBK, JEM20th
JEM20TH 2007
JEM20th PHOTOS
I bought this one brand new from Ken Stanton Music in Marietta, GA. She is in perfect condition. Just have a look at the pics. She comes with all the case candy, including the Ibanez book. Not pictured is the original Team J Craft box that it shipped in. It is in storage, but will be included. Now, while taking the pictures of the cases, I scratched the JEM20th plaque on the front as you can see in the pictures. F*ck me!! Oh well, PRICE $4277 (paid $5200 with taxes)
JEM77PMC 911801 1991
JEM77PMC PHOTOS
Now I’ve gotten a ton of questions about this one. This guitar was originally sold by Rich Harris of Ibanez Rules. It is listed on his site in the Used/Sold section under Jem 77PMC RAT. Here was his description on 3/13/2006:
“This has got to be my biggest mistake in years [although I can think of a few that come close]. I've hesitated to list this because it's been an enigma that I couldn't figure out, but I finally spent even more time on it and can now confidently say, it is a true PMC, it's just been so screwed with and in such poor condition it was tougher to figure out. First, it's had the clearcoat sanded down to the swirl and then some painted touch ups done to the damaged areas, then recleared with a rather thin coat of what looks like automotive clear. The neck plate is PMC range, the neck is PMC, but the neck pocket, though bearing traces of swirl, has been "cleaned", evidently to clean out the clear overspray [instead of just protecting the pocket to begin with]. I fully believe it was a factory body but wasn't sure if it was factory PMC until I took an Exacto knife and took off 2 small areas of the original thick factory clear leaft in the claw to reveal, it is the original swirl underneath. That said, on to the pathetic condition. The body has more blems around the edge than clean areas, inpainted touch ups, but is the original ATD swirl. There is a crack in the body back that appears to be very stable, it runs from the tail edge to the trem cavity so it's in an area of the body that doesn't affect anything and will not grow longer because it ends in the trem rout. It runs about 3/4" deep on a beveled angle as you can see in the pics. It does not run through to the top and doubtful it ever will. On to the neck which has had the headstock oversprayed in black, had a break behind the nut that was luthier repaired by glue and dowel pinning and is a permanent repair. The fretboard is covered with freckles of browning, what it is, you guess, and there is fairly minimal fretwear. The good points [and thankfully there are a few] is there is the previous owner attempted to restore the attempted restore and added a new guard and all new hardware. He bought an Edge instead of a Lo Pro only because he didn't know better. I guess the other good news would be it does have a very good neck profile and there is no reason why this wouldn't make an excellent beater [or better yet, maybe a Lasher!]. It's n some older Kraemer case. AS IS and below cost.** $1000** GONE** THANKS MATT** 3/13/06”
Matt bought this baby on 3/13/2006 and sent the neck off to
Sims Custom shop
and had it repainted. It looks great now with the freshly painted neck. I have nothing to add to Rich’s description, except to say that it really doesn’t look as bad as he describes. If I had read Rich’s description, without seeing the pictures, I would have thought that the guitar was a big lump of dogsh*t with strings on it ☺. But the pictures tell a different story. Rich has very high standards, which is why he is one of the best people to purchase guitars from. I’m not as picky, as long as the front of the guitar looks good from about 4 or 5 feet away, I’m happy. I love the swirl, and the front of the guitar really looks awesome. None of the blemishes are seen from the front. It came with a Kraemer case, but I added my best looking Ibanez case since this one is a little more sought after than the others. I traded a UV777BK and cash for it from Matt. I have been offered $2k by 3 different folks. PRICE $2177
JEM777LNG 870156 1987 In NEW condition #366/777
JEM777LNG PHOTOS
Ok, this is my pride and joy here, and it’s the hardest one to sell, because I know in a few years this one will be worth a lot more. Like the 777SK it was difficult to capture the true color on this one. When the flash fired, it looked a little washed, when the flash didn’t fire, it looked a little yellow. I own a studio and should have brought some softboxes home, but didn’t. I assure you this is as
Loch Ness Green
as Loch Ness Green can be ☺. This is really a beauty, in NEW CONDITION. There is only ONE thing that keeps this from being brand new untouched, and that’s the light circling on the pick guard where my pick has touched it from light play (couldn’t resist). You have to hold the guitar up to the right light to see it. I tried to capture it in photo 5418. I always wiped her down real good after play.
She is perfect. Check out the neck man, simply PERFECT!!! It has the handrest and all the case candy, including the warranty card which shows the purchase date at 12-18-1987. Take a look at the back plate, not a hint of oxidation or rust on any part of this guitar. Vai’s signature is a sweet one too, and he added a little art to it as well. You may be wondering, why doesn’t this have the cool Ibanez case with the pyramid? I asked the same question and got an answer from Rich. Here’s what he said:
“HUSA - All LNG's put in JEM1000C's with the numbered pyramid plaque.
Chesbro - Got tired of waiting for HUSA to send them their cases [as is always the case] and put their LNG's in generic gray lined cases [like yours]
World - Typically most were put in molded M150C's.
Japan - most were thrown in gig bags.
Anything that sat in a dealer could have easily been separated from it's original case and either sold without it or put in whatever the sales guy thought it was supposed to be in. Information in 1988 wasn't exactly flowing like it is today.”
I paid $3600 for her on 3bay, auction number 290100888784 which doesn’t show up anymore. A month later, one sold in the same new condition for $5200. It was a lower number and had the cooler case, but that gives you and idea of the value of this guitar. PRICE $3777
So that’s it. 8 of my 10 babies up for sale. PM me with questions or to purchase. I’m going to try to be fair about who offers first and will update as often as I can. I really hate to sell them, but that’s life. I hope they all find happy homes ☺. Thanks again for all the kind words in my previous posts and enjoy your new Jems!

Oh, forgot to mention something.
Trem arms
.
The LNG, Jem20th & 777VBK all come with their original trem arms (well the 777vbk has a chrome
trem arm
that came from Rich)
That leaves 5 guitars. I have only found 4 trem arms, so the last Jem to sell doesn't come with one
.
