FS/FT: JEM 10th w/Sustainer - $3000

I am offering my JEM 10th with Fernandes Sustainer for sale, for $3,000 firm, plus shipping. This is a killer, top notch JEM 10th. I love it, but I am refocusing my collection and selling off everything I don't use, and due to its value, this guitar stays in its case at my house, which means it has to go.

I would consider USA Charvel or Jackson guitars or Marshall Vintage Modern or Splawn amps as possible trade items.

This JEM is in AMAZING shape for a 20+ year old guitar, as you can see from the pics. It has NO issues. The frets are perfect. The action is low. No snaps, crackles or pops in the electronics. It has some scratches, but nothing that goes through the paint. It has a pro-installed Fernandes Sustainer (just like Vai's), which was done before I bought it and looks and works great.

Since I got it, I obtained a new Ibanez Prestige J-Craft JEM case for it (not easy to do), which is by far the best guitar case I have ever seen and absolutely fits it like a glove. DiMarzio very kindly exchanged the peeling, faded plasti-chrome bridge Evo and middle single coil cover with a replacement ChromeTop Evo and a replacement middle single coil cover, as shown in the pics (DiMarzio kept the original plastichrome Evo but let me keep the original single coil cover, and you can have that too, if you want it). Both were pro installed.

This guitar has had the benefit of a setup from Rich, and it shows. It plays extremely well, with low action. It is listed in his sold JEMs on his site.

I never received the guitar's original paperwork or original case. However, as noted above, I will ship it in the Prestige J-Craft JEM case. I will also throw in some swag that I got from the Steve Vai EVO Premium Experience, which is also pictured below.

USPS money orders are preferred, but I will alternately accept PayPal, as long as you pay PayPal fees. I will charge a flat shipping fee of $50 insured within the contintental USA. I have sold and shipped many, many guitars, and I will pack this with extreme care. I have 100% positive feedback on "the bay," with over 60 transactions, including the sale of some very fine guitars.

At this time, I am only offering this to buyers in the USA, as I frankly don't know how to ship to foreign countries and would like to avoid complications if possible. If it doesn't sell in the USA, I may expand the sale to non-USA buyers, though the shipping would obviously be more.

Usually the sustainer has a knob for the intensity, your guitar doesnīt seem to have that knob. Is it always set to 100% instead?
Bought some guitars in the USA so far without any problems, so would you ship to germany?

It's been many months since I've actually taken this guitar out of its case, but as I recall, the knob in the tone knob position controls the intensity of the Sustainer.

Hi,

I do not have the original bridge or neck pickups. The middle pickup is original. My pictures accurately portray what this guitar looks like now, but if you want to see some extreme detail of scratches, etc., there are some extreme close-up pics on the Ibanez Rules site, under sold items. These show the old, faded/peeling bridge pickup and single coil cover. As noted, those have been recently replaced, so they are brand new now. Also, his pics show a gig bag. As shown in my pics, it has a J-Craft hardshell case now.

Stupid question, but I couldn't find the answer with the Search function. Does anyone know why images sometimes show up inline and sometimes don't? As you can see, I tried to post a bunch of images in my first post in this thread, which showed up as links to the images. Then, I tried posting another image in another JemSite thread, and that pic showed up in the message (inline - not a link). All of the images were JPEGs in my PhotoBucket account, and I tried to post them all the same way. Anyone know why these showed up as links, and that one showed up as an inline image?

As a test, I am going to try posting one of the links from my first post above in this post (in case they showed up as links because I posted so many of them in one message). Let's see if this works:
