OK, I'm getting to the point of calling BS with this seller. He's been here a little over a month and he has posted about 8 guitars with a value of almost 16k. He has 0 feedback and is posting from overseas.

Can a mod please step in and either give us a thumbs up on this guy or ban him?

What exactly would you like us to do?

Any potential buyer should use caution when dealing with someone you do not know, and extreme caution when dealing out of the country.

Use common sense here, and remember... If it walks like duck...

Please don't get me wrong, I appreciate you guys to no end... I think maybe if someone with some sort of authority could follow up with this member and ask him for some sort of verification, or don't let him post.

I just don't want to see one of my Jemsite brothers or a newbie to get ripped off.

That person is you or any other potential buyer.

If the seller can't prove to you that he has what he says he has, then don't send the money. Scammers look for easy prey, and when they can't find it, they move to another forum.

I sell what I have in hands and I know I am a newby here. Thank you for the ads watcher, Ayrton. Dont say that I am bad, because I am just a newby and far away from you.

If you think you really have a very good feedback or proof that you have a very good connection with any Jemsite's contributors and wanted to deal with me, but afraid of paying.

I can proof myself by shipping my stuffs to the Jemsite's contributors in advance (I am sure I can trust them!) Once they received my stuffs and confirm to you that you'd get what you'd pay then you can pay me plus all the costs may cost to the site contributors.

I dont know this would help, but this is the best I can do and if any site contributors could help with no problem. I would appreciate.

People who would buy and time would proof me publically and if you are not comfortable please just leave my ads, but if you are interesting to deal. Please talk personally. I don't think I implied anything other than being cautious when dealing with unfamiliar sellers.

No one is saying you don't have what you say you have, but being new to this forum, and half way around the world, you will have to make any potential buyer feel comfortable that they will receive what they paid for.

Anyone can be a dead beat, and I myself got burned just last month here on a $90 set of pickups.

We can't do that for anyone (on the thumbs up) We also only very rarely permanently ban anyone who isn't a spammer. (Seriously, you need to be a titanic PITA to get banned permanently here.) The Jemsite Classifieds are a free service provided for the user community by the ownership. We do what we can to keep it safe, and to impose some order, but we can't guarantee anything. And I don't want that misconstrued by anyone here so I will repeat it, "We cannot and do not guarantee any transaction that starts from the classifieds sections" We have in the past banned poster that was shown to have ripped someone off on another site as well.

As for this seller, it seems to me in previous posts he has gone to some lengths to point out all that was altered on an FP he had that had had some alterations. I didn't see anything remotely like "hiding facts" or anything else that could be seen as disingenuous in that instance.

In this thread, his IP originates in Thailand, where he states he is posting from, I can confirm that. Nothing amiss there. If I personally was in the market for an NOS '88 FP, and thought this a reasonable price, I would consider considering it. That's pretty much all I can tell you.

So, if there is anything other than "gut feeling" anyone wants us to check out, please PM one of the Mods or Watchdogs and we will absolutely take your concerns under advisement, investigate what we can and act accordingly for the best interests of the community.

That said, let's go back to "No conversation unless you are the seller or a potential buyer" here now.
