FT: The Mystery PMC...Original JEM77PMC w/original UV1000c case
Looking for a Clean 1988 or 1989 JEM77FP or JEM777SK w/pink lined case,(SK will have to have factory clean board) of course there will have to be funds added with the SK or FP trade for this PMC, amount depends on the guitar details. This PMC is for the serious guitar player! The tone is absolutely outstanding!!!! Compared to the 80 plus JEM's I have had, never heard anything like this one, this guitar will always be missed.
This PMC...I took it to 10 wood specialists in the Nashville area to inspect the neck pocket, 2 of them said they felt it was Alder, 8 said soft maple, all 10 said it's not basswood. Some of the other unique details are the 1990 serial # plate, triple grounded, a ground wire under each pickup, factory heavy duty wiring. The story, not sure, many have expressed idea's, yet to date, know one shares anything solid about it. I know one thing, with 271 PMC's made, all to be basswood, this one is absolutely a rare find......
The guitar has been cleaned from top to bottom, all the chips & cracks have been sealed so they will not spread, Example: you can see the heel cracks, yet when running your finger across them , they cannot be felt,,,,once completed, took it to a luthier and had the body slightly buffed... there is still the slightest sign of what the luthier believes to be marks in the cear coat on the back by the output jack caused from using duck tape to hold a wireless, he has seen this many times over the years, cannot be captured in a pick, have to look real close and hold in the reflection to see it, the fretboard is clean with the light factory clear on it, the wood around the tremolo post shafts are still factory tight, neck profile and the wood grain of the board & back are phenomenal!!! Does have the common
scarf joint issue, still sets up nice, back of the neck I cleaned and resealed with a light tung oil finish, hardware is clean overall & looks great, has some wear on the top of the low 3 saddles, light pitting on the low side of the
base plate, frets have playing wear, yet have much life in them, I have a DNA pickguard on the guitar, does come with the original guard, headstock is clean with the chip at the tip and typical clear coat scratches, neck plate has a good amount of wear, everything works great!
The pop to the color is awesome! I took the pics in different lighting and types of flash to show the shades, looks like swirl flames from a little distance, one of the most unique PMC's I have seen.

PM or email me and we can talk more details on the phone, I am only interested in the 88 or 89 SK or FP for the trade portion of the deal, open to USA and international transactions, the value I set on this guitar will be firm, based on the elements that mean the most to me, if you are a collector and desire to contact me to pick at the finish issues to get a better trade plus cash deal, please refrain from this, I am a serious guitar player and have no interest the collecting mentality, finish issues to me are are trivial.
Thanks for checking out the Mystry PMC.
