Hi - I have a Jem 10th Anniversary (#774). If you're savvy enough, you can check up on me on the jem registries, and i'll confirm my name.
Anyway, I got this guitar in 1996 from a dealer called Link's Music in Hanover, PA. It's nearly unplayed - chrome still on pickups, etc. No nicks, dings, scratches or anything like that - NONE at all. The case (the silver US type) has some of the plastic covering the 10th anniversary tag scratched around, but that's the only issue. It's basically sat in a closet, and I think I've played it enough to change the strings twice, and then put it away.
What I want to know is what can I get for it? If it's just what it cost in 1996, then I have zero interest in selling it. It was played in the bedroom with sweatpants on (no buckles or pants with buttons, etc) only, and I can take pictures of it for anyone seriously interested. I can also provide the serial number for proof for the more careful types.
Any prospective buyer would get the guitar, case, absolutely everything it came with new - including the original baggie with the trem
allen wrench and Ibanez lit, the certificate, of course, and even a copy of the original 1996 sales lit (which I kept for gits and shiggles). I think the original sales slip is in the case, too.
I was hoping for something in the neighborhood of $4000 - I would like to get a dobro and a Dr Z prescription ES, and I have zero interest in selling the guitar on e-pay. Please let me know if you're interested.
Thanks -
Dave
