Just about got this one ready to go. Thought I would throw it up and let you guys get 1st dibs on it before it goes on the bay. 13 piece JEM body, Figured Birch, wenge, purpleheart, maple, etc etc. Mahogany wings on back with same center section. Really sweet. Don't currently have any pics of the back, but will shortly. This guitar is probably around 1 and a half weeks away from being cleared and buffed. Asking $499, and that includes shipping anywhere in the USA. International shipping is going to run about $60.

Also wanted to add its flame maple in the center section, not just plain maple, and its African Mahogany on the back. AANJ, routed for an edge, but you can use a lo-pro edge or edge pro in it with no problems. AANJ & two humbuckers.

What color does that Purpleheart turn into after a couple of years? I've heard that the color evolves over the years even with a thick clear coat. Could you please elaborate on this? Thanks! (P.S. This isn't discussion. I'm interested in purchasing)

I've been doing guitars with purpleheart for at least 10 years, I've never had it change after it was painted. Also, every Warrior Instruments guitar or bass we do has a 7/8" purpleheart stripe down the back of the neck, they've been in business for 11 years and I haven't seen any of theirs change either, new or used. I have "Heard" although don't know if its true that you can put them under ultra-violet light for a period of time (which I don't know how long that is) to make it more purple. However the clear that I use has UV protection in it so its not going to get any purpler, redder, or browner. Now these people who use Nitro, and Laquer I can't comment on since those clears have no UV protection. The shade of the purple it is in the above pictures is the shade it will stay.

By the way, to clarify, I've heard you can purple it up under Ultra-Violet light only prior to being painted.
