Re: wtt for jem
What JEM do you think is worth a C-1?
You will have to add some serious cash to swap a JEM.
Welcome to the board and good luck!

Re: wtt for jem
Any of the 80's JEMs will bring well over $1000, and a new C-1 is $599. You might want to consider an RG if a JEM is out of the budget.

Re: wtt for jem
Let's not have too much conversation in this thread guys, however tempting.
Shoman, you're not going to find the trade you're looking for. Your best bet is to sell your C-1, and buy the guitar you want.

And I wana trade my Squier for a JEM. Silly to expect some random magic person to come along and want to make a huge loss and give you a JEM though.
I would say good luck, but there's no point.
RG550s are extremely cool, and rather cheap in comparison

Err, well, it is. And I'm afraid there are no crazy people willing to trade a JEM DY for a Schechter they could pick up for 300 dollars.
"Oh no wait, I have a dusty old JEM that I have absolutely no idea of the value of and am completely naive in the world of trade with. Please, give me your Schechter. It makes complete sense to want this over a JEM."
Jokin mate
. Put some cash up with it. Say, 500 dollars?

That price guide is woefully out of date. You will be lucky to find any JEM for under $1,000 and your guitar is worth about $300-$400.

Re: wtt for jem
Guys, no more chatter here. If everyone wants to discuss the relative merits of this proposed trade, there are other forums in which that subject can be covered to death. Think of the witty banter as the discussion unfolds
Anyway, this isn't the place for that discussion. I've said it twice now as well.
Shoman, you should check an auction site for how much these two instruments fetch these days. As I said earlier, your best bet is still to sell your C-1, and buy the guitar you want.
